My name is Martha Vucsko, I am 46 years old, of Hungarian dissent, (speaking fluent Hungarian). I’ve been in the beauty industry for 25 years, including being the president and owner of La Look, Inc. in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I have owned and managed this prestigious day spa for the past 15 years.

Also, I am the President of Sachmode International; the sole distributor of Vagheggi Skincare within the United States. Sachmode presently provides skincare products to salons/spas throughout the country, to movie sets, and personally to such A-list celebrities as; Selma Blair, Amy Smart, Melina Kanakaredes, and Lauren Conrad to name a few.

Being in the beauty industry, a spa owner, and having a distribution company has kept me constantly seeking the finest, cutting edge products/services for my clients. I was first introduced to Vagheggi in 1992, and immediately fell in realized the superiority and refinement of the products. Client response and loyalty was overwhelming. In 1993, I was one of two people in the United States to be trained in European Skincare techniques by Pietro Vagheggi, himself, of Italy. Having developed my own signature line cosmetics, used and sold other skincare and cosmetic lines, I come to the conclusion that none of the other products were worth pursuing.

Over years of having a personal relationships with Vagheggi and its subsidiaries, it was a perfect fit when I opened my own spa in 1996. Since then, the spa has served as anchor for Vagheggi Skincare and Body treatments.

Professionally, I am a licensed Cosmetologist/Aesthetician, Image Consultant, Personal Fitness Trainer, and have had a professional modeling career. I’ve been physically fit and active throughout my life. In fact, I have worked as an aerobics instructor and managed health and wellness programs at multiple facilities in the eighties.

Inasmuch as my career has been more focused on the beauty industry, my love of fitness has never waned. At 44, I decided that I wanted to compete in figure competitions and began to train and work toward my goal. I competed and placed 4th in my first figure competition, and moved on to the Master’s Figure Division at 45, where I placed 2nd.

Always on the cutting edge, in 1999, when only 3% of all spas in the United States were Medical Spas,  La Look Spa pioneered a Medi-Spa in the state of Ohio.  To this day, our services and products have been endorsed by various plastic surgeons. As the result of seeing the needs of my clients and societal changes, La Look rebranded and became a Wellness Spa in 2006. La Look’s Wellness Services originated from “InsideOut 40 Days in 40 Ways for the 40+ Woman” Workshop.  This workshop series focuses on living a healthy lifestyle and addresses ways of attaining and remaining youthful, both inside and out. As a part of La Look’s Wellness Services, we also offer; Personal Fitness Training, Food/Diet Coaching, Meditation, Raw Food and other needs based cooking classes.

Having been successful in all of my endeavors, I realize the importance of giving back. Therefore, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one of my most favorite causes that I’m actively involved with named;  H.E.L.P. A non-profit organization dedicated to spreading Hope, Education, Love, and Protection to millions of children throughout the world, and has currently established programs in Malawi.

In addition to being an accredited teacher of CE and post graduate education classes within the state of Ohio, and my love of the industry, I am dedicated to helping other salons and spas become successful. As a result of “hands on” experience, I have made myself available to consult regarding the physical set up of your salon/spa, education of your personnel in Customer Service, Skincare, Waxing, Body Treatments, Wellness Programs, or design a program customized to fit your needs.
